How to Read This Page
Every figure on this page comes from a US label, checked in November 2026. Every number carries its serving size and weight, because a number without a serving size is not a fact you can use. The main table gives the label figures per serving; the “about” rows underneath give the same figures calculated per cookie and per gram, so you can compare the lines fairly. This page describes what the label says. It is not diet advice, and it does not rank one line above another. For how the three main lines differ in creme, wafer, and texture, see Original vs Double Stuf vs Thins.
Serving Sizes Are Not the Same
The first thing to know is that the four lines do not share a serving size. The label serving follows the size and weight of the cookie, so the same 140 calories can mean 2 cookies or 4.
Original — 3 Cookies (34 g)
One serving of Original OREO is 3 cookies weighing 34 g, with 160 calories. The Original panel below comes from current US retail listings, because the oreo.com product page did not display a nutrition panel when it was opened for this page.
Double Stuf — 2 Cookies (29 g)
One serving of Double Stuf is 2 cookies weighing 29 g, with 140 calories. The cookie is heavier and the creme layer is thicker, so fewer cookies make up the serving.
Thins — 4 Cookies (29 g)
One serving of Thins is 4 cookies weighing 29 g, with 140 calories — the same serving weight as Double Stuf, but four thin cookies instead of two. Thins Golden and Thins Chocolate share the serving size and the calorie count, but their sugar and saturated fat figures differ, so this page keeps them separate throughout.
Why the Serving Size Matters
Comparing the lines per serving alone is misleading: 140 calories is 2 Double Stuf cookies but 4 Thins. The fair comparisons are per cookie and per gram, which is why the table below gives both as “about” rows. Per cookie, Thins are the lightest and Double Stuf the heaviest; per gram, all four lines are nearly identical.
Nutrition at a Glance
The table below gives the label figures per serving for the four lines. The “about” rows are calculated from those figures — divide the serving figure by the number of cookies, or by the serving weight — and are labelled “about” because they are not printed on the label.

Calories
Per Serving
Original is 160 calories per serving; Double Stuf, Thins Golden, and Thins Chocolate are each 140 calories per serving. The serving sizes differ — 3, 2, and 4 cookies — so the per-serving figures alone do not tell you which cookie is lightest.
Per Cookie (About)
Per cookie, the figures are about 53 calories for Original, about 70 for Double Stuf, and about 35 for Thins Golden and Thins Chocolate. Double Stuf is the heaviest per cookie because each cookie carries more creme; Thins are the lightest because each cookie is thinner and weighs about 7.3 g against about 11.3 g for Original and about 14.5 g for Double Stuf.
Per Gram (About)
Per gram, the four lines are nearly identical: about 4.7 calories per gram for Original and about 4.8 for Double Stuf, Thins Golden, and Thins Chocolate. So the calorie difference between the lines is a difference in cookie size and serving count, not a difference in how calorie-dense the cookie is.
Fat
Total fat is 7 g per serving for Original and Double Stuf, and 6 g for Thins Golden and Thins Chocolate. Saturated fat is 2 g for Original, 2.5 g for Double Stuf, 1.5 g for Thins Golden, and 2 g for Thins Chocolate. Per cookie, that is about 2.3 g of total fat for Original, about 3.5 g for Double Stuf, and about 1.5 g for each Thins line. The labeled fat comes from oils including palm oil and soybean and/or canola oil; the creme itself contains no dairy.
Sodium
Sodium is 130 mg per serving for Original, 90 mg for Double Stuf, and 95 mg for Thins Golden and Thins Chocolate. Per cookie, that is about 43 mg for Original, about 45 mg for Double Stuf, and about 24 mg for each Thins line. The 130 mg figure is the current US label figure for Original; older packs may differ.
Sugars
Total Sugars
Total sugars per serving are 14 g for Original, 13 g for Double Stuf, 11 g for Thins Golden, and 12 g for Thins Chocolate. Per cookie, that is about 4.7 g for Original, about 6.5 g for Double Stuf, about 2.8 g for Thins Golden, and about 3 g for Thins Chocolate.
Added Sugars
Added sugars per serving are 13 g for Original, 13 g for Double Stuf, 11 g for Thins Golden, and 12 g for Thins Chocolate. For Double Stuf and both Thins lines, all of the sugar is added sugar; for Original, 13 of the 14 g are added. The Thins Chocolate figure of 12 g follows Food Lion, GIANT, and Baker’s; one ShopRite listing gave 11 g, which is the outlier against the three current listings.
Carbohydrates and Protein
Total carbohydrate is 25 g per serving for Original and 21 g for Double Stuf, Thins Golden, and Thins Chocolate. Dietary fiber is 1 g for Original, 0 g for Double Stuf, 0 g for Thins Golden, and 1 g for Thins Chocolate. Protein is low across all four lines, and this page does not present the cookies as a protein source.
What the Numbers Do Not Say
These figures describe the label. They do not say whether a cookie fits your diet, and they do not rank the lines against each other or against other products. A lower number per cookie is not a recommendation, and a higher number is not a warning — the numbers are facts about a serving, and what you do with them is your decision. Nutrition is also only one part of the picture: whether a cookie fits a vegan diet, for example, depends on ingredients and certification, not on calories. See Are OREO Cookies Vegan? for that question.
How to Check Your Own Pack
Labels change between editions and pack sizes, so the pack in front of you is the final word. Read the Nutrition Facts panel on your own pack and compare the serving size first — 3 cookies, 2 cookies, or 4 cookies — before comparing any number. US packs also reference SmartLabel, the label-information service, for more detail. This page uses US labels only; labels in other markets differ.
